What is the history of the pearl?
Pearls are simply and purely organic and produced in the bodies of marine and freshwater molluscs naturally or cultured by people with great care.
They occur in a wide variety of natural shapes and shades that range from white and cream and to every hue. Colours of the cultured pearl vary depending on the host mollusc.
The lustrous pearl has been coveted as a symbol of wisdom, wealth and status for thousands of years. Pearls are also the traditional gift of thirtieth anniversaries.
What is the provenance/traceability of the pearl?
Our freshwater cultured pearls are cultivated in in freshwater lakes and ponds in China, which is the leading source for freshwater cultured pearls in the world.

White cultured freshwater pearls are treated to enhance the colour. The natural colour of the cultured freshwater pearl is actually pink/apricot/lavender in colour.
Depending on the size and type of pearl, it can take between 2-6 years to grow a cultured freshwater pearl.
